Thank you for your interest.
The 2017 competition has now closed.
Since its inception in 2011 the mEYE World Photographic Competition has become a key annual event for the Foundation. It raises awareness of macular disease through the visual arts and is promoted widely through the media.
This year, the theme is See My World - in your own backyard. Entrants are also asked to submit 30-60 words explaining how their photograph captures the theme.
The competition is supported by a high profile judging panel including Foundation Patron Ita Buttrose, internationally recognised photographer Rex Dupain, and one of Australia’s longest serving news photographers, Alan Pryke.
“Macular disease affects Australians of all ages and we now know that early detection can save sight. The competition is a wonderfully creative way to remind people how precious their sight is and why we should do all we can to preserve it.” Foundation Patron Ita Buttrose.
