Roth Gair Golf Day
The Lions Club of Forest Hill created history on Sunday 3 February by hosting its most successful fundraising event ever for the Macular Disease Foundation Australia.
The 6th Annual Roth Gair Charity Golf Day raised over $12,000 for the Foundation, a significant contribution to its work.
Organiser Ian Kennedy has personal experience with macular degeneration, having watched his late Godfather suffer from the disease. “My Godfather, the late Roth Gair, had macular degeneration and loved his golf. I witnessed the impact the disease had on his vision and quality of life, and I wanted to support the great work of the Foundation to raise awareness and provide support for people with macular degeneration,” explained Ian.
