50 Good Reasons to support Macular Degeneration
- Sir Jack talks about Macular Degeneration
The Foundation remembers Sir Jack as a spokesperson for the macular disease community.
Sir Jack shared his story with the Foundation and spoke about his diagnosis with macular degeneration and how this loss of central vision affected his life, and particularly his ability to continue his passion for driving.
It was just over 50 years since Sir Jack Brabham AO OBE claimed his third Formula 1 title. This year, the Royal Australian Mint (the Mint) has honoured Sir Brabham’s contribution to the motor racing industry with the release of a special commemorative coin, featuring a portrait of the great man,and a green and gold track, the colours of his original car.
Inspired by Sir Jack’s 50 cent commemorative coin we invite our community to get on board with our new 50 Good Reasons fundraising initiative.
