Save someone’s sight. Share Check My Macula

- Check My Macula
Macular Disease Foundation Australia (MDFA) needs you to get behind its new community campaign Check My Macula. You could help save someone’s sight.
One in seven people over the age of 50 has signs of age-related macular degeneration.
One in three people over the age of 50 with diabetes has diabetic retinopathy.
Knowing your risks, and having regular macula checks, is the only way to protect your vision.
That’s why MDFA has launched Check My Macula, a short online quiz to raise awareness of the risk factors for macular disease in people over the age of 50 and to encourage people to visit their optometrist for an eye exam.
Check My Macula is five easy questions, and in under a minute, it will deliver personalised information to help you take control of your eye health.
The quiz is being promoted by a quirky television commercial voiced by Aussie entertainers Shane Jacobson and Jean Kittson, which hits screens today.
