Aspirin and AMD

Some recent media reports discuss a new study which suggests a possible link between the risk of developing AMD and the use of aspirin. This is very preliminary research, and is in marked contrast to many other studies which have found no evidence of a link between the risk of AMD and the use of aspirin. As such, if you taking aspirin on the recommendation of your doctor, you should NOT stop taking it without first discussing this with your doctor.
