Vision Voice Spring 2018

The welcomed announcement of Government funding for the development of a Strategic National Action Plan leads our Spring edition of Vision Voice. This important plan will seek to develop a strategic direction around the management, prevention and treatment of macular disease.

This edition also includes information on the release of the Journey to See report, which examines anti-VEGF treatment for wet AMD and its impact over the past ten years.

We announce the release of a range of electronic e-resources to assist in the care of residents living with low vision in residential aged care facilities, and explore the myths surrounding AREDs-based supplementation for AMD.

In the "Our Community" section be inspired by the compelling story of Garvin Francis, who lives with vision loss from rod cone dystrophy, and his “Kokoda Warrior” mates who tackled the infamous track.
